Fellow Freepers,
Following is a link to an online interview that is gathering points of view on environmental issues. So far, we have gathered mainly opinions of individuals that are likely of the liberal persuasion, and we want to include opinions and thoughts of people with different views on the world. It is all completely anonymous.
Full disclosure: I am involved with the company running the survey and would like to get honest input from the Freeper world. So, if you have 15 to 30 minutes to spare, click on the link below to begin. It does require the Flash plugin version 8 or greater for your browser...
Click here to take the interview...
Please note that this is not a traditional survey, it is designed to be conversational so please dig deep and give good, honest responses. Once I know what we end up doing with the results, I will follow up so everyone will know what comes of it.
Thanks in advance!
bump for later
What a load of crap that is. Every question is “help me understand why you said this and said that, explain further, I don’t get it, blah blah blah. A waste of time IMO.
Just looking for input, thanks for trying.
Opinion noted.
Tell me “cspakler”, when I say “Socrates is an idiot”, how do you feel? Because, certainly, in the area of the subject of Socrates your feelings are critical to how much knowledge of Socrates you actually have. Isn’t it? /sarc
I am really hoping someone will actually read the responses I finally started making to that insane program. The idiot responses that the program was making to my comments calling it an idiot were a hoot.
Cut me off as soon as I didn’t answer the question the way they wanted.
If you completed the interview, they will be noted. I was asking for honest input about your opinions on the environment within the interview, if you play nice things go quite well. Your opinion of the software is duly noted.
Thanks for your time.
To Others: if you spend the time, it helps to not take a defensive attitude. Just answer the questions honestly without looking for some sinister motive.
Thanks, you hit the nail on the head.
(I almost called you “Bubba” for short, but then realized that that would be rude...)
For what it is worth,
I completed the interview,
and I answered the questions honestly,
but I do not see the point to the whole thing.
We do interesting things with the collected text. I will update when we shut down and run the analysis.
Thanks for taking the time to participate, it is appreciated.
Would you mind elaborating?
I just did the poll, and I thought the questions were non-responsive to my answers and I also thought that the poll focused too much on how I felt and not on what I think are the consequences of my actions
“I was asking for honest input about your opinions”
Sorry deary, but my feelings are not my “opinions”; thoughts are not “feelings”.
When you ask someone what they “feel” you are not asking them what they THINK. When you say “I feel”, you are talking about your emotions, not your thoughts.
Why do you thinks he is named Socrates?
