In an extraordinary outburst of candor, this Democrat actually admitted that the People voted for higher taxes because they voted for Democrats. Under the Colorado state constitution, the people vote for an unspecified confiscatory tax increase automatically whensoever they elect Democrats. Should the public tire of escalating taxation, the people may choose to vote against Democrats at the next electoral opportunity.
