“You seem intent on judging a book by its cover and swallowing disinformation without knowing it’s poison.”

Listen, I would vote for Thompson in a heartbeat if he’s the republican candidate. That’s more than you can say if Rudy ends up as the candidate. Whether Thompson was pro-choice at one time or other is not a deal breaker for me. Apparently it is for you since you seem to be avoiding that possibility. When you have an open mind regarding ALL the candidates, then we can have a serious discussion.

You asked the question of how I would know that. I answered.

The issue of Thompson’s stance on abortion has been settled by his past record. The evidence shows he is pro-life.

And the fact that you question it in the face of the historical evidence shows you’re not convinced. If you’re not convinced when his voting record shows clearly what he is and that his appearances on national television shows he is against Roe vs. Wade, then nothing will convince you.

The rumors that he was ever prochoice have all been debunked by prolife leaders. The American Spectator has printed other reports that claim that it was Evangelicals for Romney that put out the smear. The recent smear in the American Spectator was dated April 7, 2007. There was no evidence from 1994 cited, just heresay.

This is not about prochoice-prolife. This is about dishonest yellow journalism.

Tomorrow will bring a new smear. And if I find it is unsubstantiated, then I care not what the issue is, I care only that the con artists that promulgate the smear get called on it.
