Bush said that he wanted to “change one heart at a time” because it sounded good to and pro-choice Republicans.

Abortion is murder, and while as a Christian I am delighted to change one heart at a time, I expect government to do its job. And that is job is to preserve life and liberty.

While you (and I) agree abortion is murder, that is not what the existing law says. But the pro abortion movement is is a race against technology. Four d sonograms now give you a picture of the child in the womb not seen before and that picture is worth much more that a thousand words. Live saving in the womb procedures are a regular occurrence now. We as a society knows more. Over time that will sink into the conscience of people. But it is not government’s job to make it so.
