I switched over to Purina - it's made in the U.S..
I too use Purina for my cats and just saw it on both lists; cats & dogs. These numbers are small, teeny tiny as a matter of fact. But I'm wondering if there are more and it's just not being reported. I simply don't know.
Purina had its own problems around 10 years ago when fertilizer got inadvertantly mixed in with the dog food at a plant that bagged both.

I don't believe it about Purina which is U.S. manufactured. I doubt they get their supplies from any foreign sources, as I suspect Menu Food did (China). I think there is a hysteria out there now from people whose pets croaked from old age or disease and they are now jumping on the bandwagon. I've been feeding my cats, one of whom is ancient (about 20 yrs) Purina Natural dry cat food and Friskies canned food, for years now, and even the old cat still eats a lot and both are doing fine. I refuse to join the hysteria. And if my old kitty ends up dying in the next year or so, it's because she's 20 YEARS OLD, not because of Purina cat food. Everyone should settle down here, and only respond to primary sources, not secondary or hearsay reports, especially from pet owners themselves who are going to blame any death of a pet on the pet food for the near future.
