We're not going to invade Iran.
We're certainly not going to occupy Iran. .....nor police and rebuild. Nation-building isn't an exercise we'll be engaging in again anytime soon, of that you can be sure.
But a quick and decisive strike against their nuke sites, Navy, Air Force, and perhaps oil facilities is certainly in the cards. Allowing those nutballs into the nuclear club isn't an option. And anyway, such a strike wouldn't allow the Dems time to generate any opposition -- it'd all be over be they could scream "quagmire."
We don't need to invade Iran. We need to destroy enough of their nuclear capacity to render it useless(that does not require that we get it all, probably not even most of it)and destroy their air force and navy and communications. We need to concentrate especially on equipment provided by Russia, Pakistan, and China.
"We're not going to invade Iran."
Bombing some 5,000 identified targets is NOT an invasion. So I agree,
We will have retaliatory military clashes on the Iran/Iraq borders - from the very north - Kurdistan - all the way down to Khuzestan, south of the Iraq border but opposite the Gulf states. Specially Khuzestan.
We might see action in Baluchistan, too.
We might invade Khuzetan for tactical and strategic reasons but otherwise it would more likely be small Special Forces and Navy seals. With specific, limited missions.
And of course naval ops.
LOTS of noise but not invasion as I take you to mean it.
