Good Friday? This would be a horrible date to choose. Not only because it's a solemn day for Christianity, but choosing this day would provide enormous fuel to the Islamic propaganda that this is a new "crusade". Whether it is in fact, or not, I don't think Western governments are going to do anything during Holy Week. I suspect the Russians are leaking some disinformation, maybe on our behalf, as a kind of final warning.

On the other hand, the actions of the Iranian government (the British hostages, Ahamdinejad abruptly canceling his U.N. speech) indicate that something may be relatively close to "going down". The Brits may not be trade bait for Iranian agents, but insurance against soon-to-come attacks (think human shields).

Good Friday sounds like a very good idea, as for the fear it will fuel talk of a new crusade, that is a very good idea as well...these rodents only understand strength, they will talk until they have rearmed, they very well remember what a beating they took during the crusades, imagine what it will be like now.
