"I am a woman. However, my husband served in VN (and he has a purple heart), and I know how the lack of support from politicians and the media affected him. That is the reason I was at the Phoenix rally with my flag. I wanted to show my support for the troops. IMO, Hunter missed a golden opportunity to show he was 100% behind the troops."

You were at a flag rally in Phoenix. Was that today? The reason I ask is that the only GOE I knew about was in DC, and Hunter was in Phoenix. If that rally was today, you can not blame him for not being in DC since you weren't either. Did you inform him of the rally in Phoenix? If not, how was he to know there was more than 1? I only knew of 1. People can not be at a place or event if they do not know that place or event exists.

Is the GOE the only way to support the troops? Would you prefer he have been at the GOE today, but vote against legislation for the troops? He has been authoring, and voting for legislation for the troops. Is that not a show of support?

I was not in DC. The rally in Phoenix was last Saturday. The GOE caravan started in Calif. and worked it's way to DC. He obviously knew of the DC rally, since we've been told he arranged to have some of his people there. I'm not running for POTUS, he is. I just think it would have been a huge boost for the troops for him to be there in person.

From what I've been told, he was at a Lincoln Day Luncheon today and not voting on any legislation. So, the real question is, would I prefer he go to a luncheon or to the GOE. I'm aware of his voting record. Right now, he's still the best of the bunch.
