The Net's not always a kid-friendly place; there is plenty of foul language out there. And of course, the blogosphere is no different.
But how different are the Rightosphere and Leftosphere when it comes to "dirty" language? Which side produces the most profanity-laced diatribes????

Liberals are potty-mouths? Shocked I tell ya - Shocked!
;) ...you know I would never have "thunk" it
Well, what are the words? "Darn," "shucks," and "aw geeze?"
"Well, what are the words?"
You need to go to the Leftosphere to find out. We don't talk that way over here. (Well, most of us don't. <;)
Here is a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_dirty_words
Enjoy...lol:)
Interesting to see someone finally try to quantify it. It seemed to me they left Democratic Underground out of the equation. That is a place I have only visited a couple of times, but seemed like a fever-swamp of angry, hateful, foul-mouthed liberals.
I felt like I needed to disinfect after I finished browsing through there.
The results by the author do not surprise me a single iota. When forced to debate an issue, a hardcore liberal is much more likely to descend into a sputtering, angy, expletive, stereotype and ad-hominem filled rage than a conservative is.
It is often uncomfortable to be pinned by an opponent's logic when so much emotion is used to buttress an opinion.
I wouldn't call it logic..lol..most liberal rhetoric is circular and based on emotion, very little/if any facts at all...that is why they break off into potty-mouth rants...they have nothing else
;)
Right. My statement was describing what happens to a liberal when they engage in a logic based debate of an issue with a conservative (THEIR opponent).
Their arguments are often a mile wide and a nanometer deep. They dig dig down through that scratch in the surface to find underlying logic, are unable to find any, and are reduced to the sputtering, rage-filled rants we all know so well.
So true....so very true
Yes, DU is full of swear words. I have also been on the
Radio Equalizer blog, done by conservative (ex-)talk show host Brian Maloney, and replies _by liberals_ are full of profanity
(unlike the comments by conservatives). Venom, swears, hatred,
anger, and stupid comments (laughable ones like how Air
America is a huge success, or that "you neocons are a failure" etc.)
Lots of CAPITAL LETTER SHOUTING and spelling/grammar
mistakes, too.
Or "We're going to snatch that pussy, put it in a box, and bring it on that airplane!"
Update @ 9:16am: Great point by reader Joe.What? No Democratic Underground? No IndyMedia? No FreeRepublic? No Townhall? No FrontPageMag?And thus, the numbers:
