How about urban conservatives! Many of us including myself are not members of Evangelical Church's. Do not live in small towns and as such have no desire to own guns. It seem to me that the small town and southern elements have largely taken over and defined what it means to be conservatives. We naturally feel that the same small town-southern branch of the Conservative movement are plainly allies and agree with 80% of what we believe in and have no desire to associate with liberal nut cakes. But,don't push it!

How about urban conservatives!

I live in an urban area. Don't lump me in with you.

Many of us including myself are not members of Evangelical Church's.

I'm not a member of an evangelical church, either. Don't lump me in with you.

Do not live in small towns

I don't live in a small town either. Don't lump me in with you.

and as such have no desire to own guns.

There are many things I'd rather buy than purchase a gun. But I sure will defend my and other's right to buy one - rifle, shotgun, handgun, whatever. Don't lump me in with you.

It seem to me that the small town and southern elements have largely taken over and defined what it means to be conservatives.

It seems to me that those who have no respect for fundamental human rights are trying to take over the Conservative movement. The GOP was founded on respecting these fundamental rights back in the days of U.S. slavery. I'll fight those that want to take that from our party's DNA in these days of abortion.
