There are more historians who have wrote of Christ, than anyone figure in history. (post #310)
There is more historical writings of Christ than any other historical figure in all of history at the time of Christ or before. Thats pretty damming to your assumptions. More than Ceasar, Nero, etc... etc... (post #268)Now, you say that Cornelius Tacitus is considered one of the most accurate historians of the ancient world, and - guess what - he wrote a great part of his annals about Nero.
I'd say your statement in post #310 is not only hyperbole but flat-out wrong. And making such a statement casts a doubt on the truth you want to herald - something Augustinus warned against in the 4th century. You really should differ between Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Jesus as a figure of history.
Its not wrong what Im saying!
Gaius Seutonius---- who also wrote of meeting a jew named Aquilla comin from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had commanded that all jews leave Rome. These people were also mentioned in the bible. Not to mention the Bible its self is an absolutly credible historical book which was kept in writting for thousands of years, from the old testament to the new inwhich it is tied together in its entirety. This doesnt just happen, and yet we are keeping the very year 2,007 which is the recorded time since Christ and has been kept since Christ why would they do this for a supposed passing hoax, lets get real!! do you honestly question the historicity with a strait face!!!!
I dont say Cornelius Tacitus is one of the most accurate, Historians do!
