I do.
I have.
I have been enjoying them.

" You do continue to say, flat-out, that you know that reports were falsified, though -- it's a little hard to swallow for more than one reason."That was well established back then. I found the original press release from Camp Blue Diamond. That's what started the whole thing. Folks there noticed it was wrong. Susbsequent investigation by the Corps determined the source of the error was Wuterich and McConnell. Lt Col Chessini was involved later in that in Nov roughly, when he agreed with the mayor/whoever from Haditha, to pay off for the wrongful deaths. I'm sure the Corps didn't appreciate him sticking them with this mess.

Thanks for the ping Red. I have read through all the threads in this post, to get updated somewhat. At least the rebuttals somewhat tamed down in perhaps the spirit from a few to elucidate facts/timelines.
Let us hope all concerned do exchange in future postings with no harboring of ill feelings.
I am sure there is not a poster here that does not want to see these Marines get a fair shake in the end analysis.

I thought that the little girl whom you mention, was getting ready for school that day. I thought that her "recollection" of that morning was that she remembered holding her ears; waiting for the big explosion to occur. It was as if even this child knew to anticipate an attack on the Americans.

She said she stayed home that day, because there was going to be a bombing, or something like that, involving the Americans specifically. You're right, she also said she covered her ears for the explosion. That all came through the interpreter, I think it was CNN. So everyone in the house knew about the bomb that killed Lance Cpl Miguel Terrazas, and were ready for it when it went off.

You're right, from the CNN transcript.
"WALID (through translator): I was planning to go to school. I was about to get out of bed.
" I knew the bomb would explode, so I covered my ears. The bomb exploded. The bomb struck an armored vehicle. I don't know if it was a Humvee or an armored vehicle. When the bomb exploded, they came straight to our house.
I don't know what time this happened, but I still think they should have been gone already and in school, or on the way.

Yes, exactly. And what this says to me is these "innocents" were not so innocent after all. I'm sorry, but in wartime, Marines are trained to kill. And they do their job pretty darn well.
