Thanks for the ping. I too have been waiting for the new season.

If I have any gripes with the show... it's the 'back-story' that runs through it with the 'investigators

Agreed. That is my complaint about it. It is still so much better than "Most Haunted", IMO.

How intriguing - furniture that moves by itself, being a force we don't yet understand. Demons, maybe? Yikes!

The St. Augustine Lighthouse to which they are referring is THE best episode they ever had as far as solid evidence (instead of just "did you see that?" not-recorded experiences of the show's stars).

That show had some serious evidence, at least when you break down how those things could possibly have happened in "the real world".

Unless you're that guy on the TAPS forum who shut down the Lighthouse thread insisting it was all OWLS.

I'm a dudette, thank you. ;-)

All I'm saying is that there's never been black and white proof--it's always been "oh, that was probably a dust mote BUT it could have been ectoplasm" or somesuch. :-)

I saw the episode you refer to, and sorry, just didn't see a ghostly apparition, even when they stopped the tape--sure don't remember owls though!! LOL. :-)

I'm totally hooked on the show - it's much better now than the first season when they would have the fat Wiccan chicks with dowsing rods. The St. Augustine lighthouse was definitely my fave. I'm pretty skeptical about the paranormal, but that particular episode gave me the creeps!

Of course there's no B&W proof. Probably never will be. This is a case 1 may only ever be able to go by deduction - rule out normal causes and can't find any other explanation.

You are totally wrong about the "orbs" - which I hate, BTW. GH frequently dismisses the orbs. Almost never have they accepted them as even possibly being paranormal, much less good evidence. In fact, the lesser participants and much more, the freaks on the TAPS forums are the 1s constantly getting irritated that the bosses, Grant and Jason, dismiss every stupid orb that passes by the camera.

My biggest aggravation about J&G and the orbs is that they always say "dust", but in reality, many times they can say "bugs" as the best explanation. But I like that they dismiss orbs, which are really worthless and probably not even spiritual.
