I see a flaw in her logic. If the globe warms up we burn less fossil fuels to stay warm, producing less CO2, then the globe cools off. Oh,Oh! we are doomed!

Exactly why is the worlds biggest polluter allowed to sign Kyoto but is completely free of all aspects of the Kyoto protocol and its wealth transfer scheme, is it because they are Communists?

Here's how Kyoto works:

1. Rich countries that take good care of the environment are penalized for doing so...well, actually, they're penalized for being rich, but the result is the same.

2. Poor countries are penalized for being poor.

3. Wealthy countries run by commies get to keep polluting the planet with total gusto.

4. India gets to keep pouring carbon into the air and heavy metals in their rivers, even though they're not commies. You see, they aren't poor enough to oppress and haven't been wealthy long enough to take good care of their environment and be punished for that.

And there are people who are surprised the Senate killed this.

And I say that as someone who BELIEVES in Global Warming, and thinks that it is probably that humans are responsible for at least some of it.

This isn't a shot, though it might read like one.

In An Inconvenient Truth, Gore shows a chart showing and association between temps at the high end of the range and carbon percentages in the atmosphere at the high end of the range. The problem is, some of these cycles occurred before humans developed civilizations. So if we're causing global warming with our carbon emissions, what caused it before humans had carbon emissions? It's not as if GM is sending SUVs back in time.

Now, this is truly a DUmmie! He doesn't even see that he is in the role of a flat-earther that would like to punish anyone who questions the "estblished science." If there is no questioning of science allowed, the flat-earthers would be the winners. DUmmie ignorance astounds me!

Even the Evolution vs. Creation folks, contentious as they are, aren't going that far.

I think this speaks to the weakness of the Global Warming hysterians, not their strength.

I think the Weather Channel is beginning to take some heat for this fact. But then, they hired her to do exactly what she's doing; keep global warming an issue and keep it in the forefront of public perception. What goes around comes around.

I've read all your comments saying I want to silence meteorologists who are skeptical of the science of global warming. That is not true. The point of my post was never to stifle discussion. It was to raise it to a level that doesn't confuse science and politics.

PJ, I don't think she's backpeddling. She's not retracting her statement. She's taking the John Kerry approach and saying that we're all wrong for misunderstanding her.
