The whole idea of producing specific organ or system stem cells from embryonic stem cells was initially predicated on the "junk science" idea that these cells would not suffer an autoimmune response from the recipient.

At the time it also seemed that it would be a trivial problem to encourage embryos to turn into useful stem cells of all types, and the idea of using the body's own adult stem cells was considered too difficult to attempt.

Turns out everything is the other way around and the embryonic stem cells have become an unattainable will-o-the-wisp while adult stem cells are actually being used in treatments.

The whole business with embryonic stem cells is based on a fraudulent misrepresentation of what is possible. Eventually we are going to find ourselves putting all the conmen and con-scientists involved in this racket into jails ~ just like is happening in Korea.
