I don't think Sfexpat lacks discernment about people. She is very aware of Monkeyman's setting fire to the internet right now and she wanted him off DU --- "I am in the middle of something else." She patted him on the head and shooed him off DU for "five months" claiming she had left DU to recoup, but of course she is never off DU in one forum or another, particularly the Mental Health Group.

I think she's planning another fundraiser for "mental health issues", families, etc. She has been trying to cultivate a following at the mhg even while she was involved in the Andy Scam.

She's using the Bush hatred and trying to recreate the hysteria about a heartless "repuke" run "Amurika" where poor Andy would die because he was poor. Everything they said about Andy's situation was a cruel lie to frighten an already susceptible group, many of whom rely on government support for their healthcare among other things.

In addition to the several thousand dollars a month Andy got through donations from Dec 2004, plus payments from voter groups like CaseOhio, and KevinZeese's group, and others, Andy was fully enrolled in Medicaid and welfare programs which paid for all of his medical and living expenses, including retroactive for three months which covered his nearly 15,000 in bills for tests and treatment at Swedish Medical in Seattle.

The Big Lie was that Andy would die like a dog in the gutter because of our rotten system. The new Big Lie for sfexpat is that the people on the mental health thread and their families are again at the mercy of Bush who "gutted the social services programs" and the "Republicans indifference to their suffering." None of this is true but it is useful for sfexpat's purposes of creating another frenzy of fear and hatred, which can only be ameliorated by her "services" to "our community, our families."

She already has goobers jumping on that thread and praising her for her "noble" concern for others in the midst of her own problems.

This latest thread about Doug dumping her is posted on General Discussion. How long did it take for the Andy fundraiser to jump to the relative respectability of GD?

The same conditions prevail at DU. Skinner aka David Allen has stated that he will not be available for DU. (He has a new baby, a son...beautiful baby.)

I don't see the old stalwarts coming out for her but that does not mean she is not cultivating a few new ones through PMs, in addition to her own sockpuppets beating the drum.

There are a few elements that were not present in the Andy Scam. One is that there is a divorce action pending. Sfexpat's disclosing of confidential information about Doug and their life together might be seen as jeopardizing Doug's interests in the adjudication of the divorce, and if so, would certainly be a consideration in a judge's decision to issue a temporary restraining order subject to investigation to determine if an injunction is called for.

A preventive injunction might be issued against Skinner and Du as facilitators of sfexpat's violation of Doug's privacy rights, as there seems not to be another adequate remedy for this. Injunctions are not used if there is a possibility of
financial damages, however if malicious intent can be proven after the injunction punitive damages might be assessed if it can be shown that the pursuit of a man's reputation across the internet could have been determined by "reasonable men" who, nevertheless, continued to provide a venue for the pursuer.

Sfexpat has hinted that she is in touch with Doug's doctor, which, considering the situation, might be construed as collusin, something I doubt that Doug's doctor would be willing even to appear to be involved in, however convincing Sfexpat's analysis of Doug's frail psychological condition might be to the DUers in DU's Mental Health Group.

Beth implied that the friend with whom Doug stayed after he left is suffering from some psychological problems, Obsessive-compulsive disorder I think she claimed. Beth uses psychological diagnoses to undermine those who disagree with her or do not fall in line with her plans.

Doug, in her view, is not acting as an autonomous individual and making decisions based on his own best interests as he sees them. She portrays him as incapable of acting without her controlling all aspects of his life. She seems to deliberately sow self-doubt and fear while declaring her love for him. This is pretty frightening.

Just today on a thread in the Mental Health Group she wrote about her son, in the past, going into the hospital to test for depression where it was learned he was taking cocaine. She says she did not know this and then refers to him at that time as a "sixteen year old addict." Good grief. Not sure this is the son with whom she is traveling to DC along with her mother, in order to "moon *".

I'm mystified that anyone would attribute innocence and guilessness to this person, qualities that she may have possessed at five, but not by the time her sixth birthday rolled around. Or were you all being sardonic?
