I don't get this 'we are in a world of trouble' stuff.

We have troubles. There is never a trouble-free time.

But we are dealing with them. And most of what's goin on is good. The economy certainly is.

I detest people whose kneejerk reaction is to say a holier than thou thing like "I have never touched any of that stuff; neither have my brothers and sister nor most of my acquaintances of that age, I daresay. Some of us were just as disgusted with it back then as we are today.

What's that have to do with anything? NOTHING. Why even bring it up than to pat yourself on the back? Would it stop you from voting for someone? Be honest.

Honestly Hildy, I was a self-indulgent hedonist and I didn't take offense at PYE's comment. I didn't think he was talking about me personally. My feelings of solidarity with the brotherhood of self-indulgent hedonists are so attenuated that I hardly notice them any more.

If PYE got through the '60's without getting high, I say good for him. It was all BS anyway, and getting high never did anyone any good. Let it go, why don't cha?
