I was going to post this to myself but when I saw you I figured why not dump on Knotts?

LOL

I have been driving high performance cars for over 3o years.  As a result, I have become well acquainted with the "random stop", "emissions equipment inspection", "safety inspection", "excessive noise stop" and every other manner of complete BS "Traffic Stops" that have only one real intention which is; find something, anything, that can be used to produce a traffic ticket.

As a result, after 30 years of this, two things have happened.
  1. My cars are the epitome of craftsmanship, attention to detail and legality.
  2. My respect for the Police is very very low.
Were it not for a few of the good guys out there, I would have written off the entire profession.

It always makes me laugh now, when they pull over the lowered 5.0 Mustang with the burbling exhaust, rubber band tires and thumpin stereo only to see my gray hair, bifocals and AARP sticker.

Keep em guessing I say.

Cheers,

I actually have a lot of respect for the police generally. It is not, after all, really the police who have decided to move our society in this direction, but politicians and judges.

There are surely some police officers, though, who are undeserving of the extraordinary trust we, as a society, place in them. They are apparently also the ones who get assigned to work these checkpoints (and no-knock raids).
