It is my firm belief that the United States should stay out of North African affairs and put this into the hands of the United Nations member states to do something -- for once. This is not our responsibility.

You gotta be kidding. As the most powerful Christian nation on Earth is is precisely the duty of the United States to do something about this since there is no way in hell to expect God to smile upon us if we ignore such a thing.

My suggestion: Assuming we still possess some of the old-fashioned submarines which fire torpedos and sink ships, simply station one or two such off shore of Sudan and tell the lunatics running Sudan that until the persecution of Christians stops, nobody is loading oil off of Sudan, and any ship attempting it will be sunk. That would not put a single American life at risk and the cost would be minimal.

We should be doing everything possible to help the people in southern Sudan.
The President has been pushing the envelope consistently and the UN has responded with nothing.

So what is new. In the end, the US may need to resort to covert means to aid the defenseless Sudanese against the government supported Arab terrorists.
