This article is full of lies.
Care to be more specific? Kind of hard to defend the information if I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to.
LGF posted the information this morning and is still waiting on confirmation. However, as you'll hear if you tune into The Front Line tonight, there are some terror experts who believe that this is true to a certain extent. The U.S. did in fact cut off Israel's access to JDAMs and anti-missile technology in return for their selling technology to China. How deep the "cutoff" goes is what's up for debate. The US gov't apparently wanted to send Israel a message: don't sell our stuff to our enemies.
However, I think some of the others on this thread are also missing something: The author of that article (my blogging partner) and I are absolutely and completely allied with Israel. We're not happy about the US cutting anything off from Israel. Just to clarify.
You can claim it's tenth rate hearsay, as you put it, but the fact is that there is some evidence to back up the cutting off of certain technologies, etc. Also, YNet is reporting it as well - it's not just me running around like a headless chicken.
I'm more pro-Israel than pretty much anyone, so I understand being defensive. But at the same time, i think it's important to talk about these reports and run them to ground.
That has got to be one of the most idiotic statements I have ever heard. You might be able to find some Israeli politicians who say that in public, but I can assure you they do NOT want a Palestinian state. Who wants to strengthen an enemy? Israel goes in for these absurd "land for peace" deals because their allies pressure them to do so.
Some incredibly stupid freepers blame the President for everything under the sun.
And some worship his gym socks.
I blame him for rescinding on his campaign promises. I blame him for having a weak foreign policy. I blame him for going back on his own public pronouncements. If this is "everything under the sun", then so be it.
Maybe. I gave you some that you ignored, if you'll look back.
Look where it got them, too.
