Why do references to rape and sex have their vowels replaced by consonants? It's not like they're dirty words or anything, they're part of our vocabulary.

The obvious intent is to not attract p&rv&rts. P&rv&rts do Google or Yahoo searches for such words, and most of us would not want to have them preferentially represented at our little forum.
