Stephen Maloney is not a Freeper but is definitely on to Murtha. I thought this blog entry was very interesting and wanted to bring Maloney's efforts to the attention of Freepers (especially those doing similar digging into the Murtha Swamp).

Ping -- Diana Irey ping list.
Apologies to anyone double pinged and to those on original list but this piece gives a pretty good perspective of what Diana Irey was up against in challenging Murtha.

Thanks for the feedback. Maloney seems like he's got good investigative instincts. I have his blog bookmarked for more.

If Mollohan were actually convicted of something, or at least found guilty and cencured, maybe it would have an effect.

Thanks for the post and ping.
"...this piece gives a pretty good perspective of what Diana Irey was up against in challenging Murtha."
It sure does, and it surprised me!
I had no idea he spent that much money in opposing her.
Can't wait to see what, if anything, happens to Mollohan.

Hey, Gitmo! Long time, no hear. How you doing, hoss?
Smooth said he'd be confabbing with Diana soon and maybe he'll have some news. Last I heard, Diana was taking a much needed break and thinking things over.
I really hope she'll run again and, this time, end up in Congress!

Thanks for the ping, Red.
As always, the shameless RATS are protected by the MSM and we won't hear a thing except if the culprits were remotely Republican.
Look at their reelecting the proven unethical sticky-fingered RATS: al Murthawi, the hero of Abscam and anti-Americanism. Frozen-fingered William Jefferson Clintoonless of Louisiana with $90,000 in his freezer.
I still blame the spineless Repubs for not investigating Mr. Frozen fingers instead of letting his scandal die down while Foley takes over and we are labeled as "the culture of corruption.
Unless the MSM is confronted and exposed at every turn, it's our spineless reps. who will cost us elections.
Case in point: Tony Snow's apology to a scumbag liberal, David Gregory.....Yeah, keep making nice and lose more elections!
To: Congressman Billybob
According to
The Washington Post
The Man Who Would Be King
The most colorful politician ever to come out of Louisiana was both a populist and a thug.

KINGFISH
The Reign of Huey P. Long
In 1935, the Kingfish unleashed a racist smear against a local judge in Louisiana, accusing him of having "coffee" or mulatto blood. In response, the judge's son-in-law, a young doctor, shot Long down in the halls of the state capitol.
An historical fact.

I still blame the spineless Repubs for not investigating Mr. Frozen fingers...I'm with you, mel. When Hastert was crying foul about the FBI and not about Mr Freeze, it was an omen of bad things to come. And what thanks did Hastert get? None. Just more Democrap insults.

I read Harry Williams' biography of the Kingfish years ago and it was great. I didn't know there was a more recent bio. I'll have to check it out.

As usual, I agree with everything you wrote; especially this:
"Case in point: Tony Snow's apology to a scumbag liberal, David Gregory.....Yeah, keep making nice and lose more elections!"
I'm just feeling particularly weary of all of it tonight!
