Agreed. Have you noticed that in most stand up acts there are always "jokes" that are merely expressions of politically-correct thought, and the audience chuckles a little...and then APPLAUDS? They're applauding the political point of view, which their weak laughter admits isn't very funny.

Humor should take no sides. These days, all comedians seem interested in making sure the audience knows they hate Bush, and their jokes at the libs are of the "but I love him/her, anyway, and am just laughing at their foibles, which make them loveable" variety.

It tickles me to see them let their hair down and keep stubbing their toes. Have you noticed that they treat their electoral victory as license to misbehave? They are still mad, too.

Well, if it's on TV, it's because the "Applause" lights came on... While is why I always liked "The Man Show." Their light said "Clap You Bas**rds!" Well, that and for other reasons too...
