My sister happened to catch the ABC World News segment about the wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery on December 14, 2006. Our father is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. As she watched, she couldnt believe that one of the shots showed his grave and mentioned his name. She called me immediately afterward in tears saying it was a shame I couldnt see the clip. I signed up for ABC News on Demand so that I could see it. Does anyone know of a way to capture the video? The ABC site does not let you save it. Thanks for your help.
Ok. I thought that they had Flash streaming video.
The 1 K file is a short cut to the site. It contains no video.
As for the second file, is the full file name?:
"061214.wn_wreaths.wmv#0;1.000;0;0;3:2;4:2,"
If so, try truncating a copy save as 061214wn_wreaths.wmv
This deletes the formating which located in the ABC box.
NOTE delete the first period between the 4 & wn.
That should give you a file that you can play in WM media.
Can you copy the video url from the temp files cache? If so, post it in a response here and I'll try to snag it for you. If so I'll post on my web storage page for you or e-mail it ot you.
Again I suggested the converter thinking you would want to burn to a DVD for TV viewing by family as an archive.
Let me know the url first and maybe I can save you some frustration.
I'll stick around for another half hour or so.
I have saved many a video and audio file from temporary files. Sometimes you can get them to open in one program and not another. ( Such as Quicktime vs Media Player)
If someone can post a link to the video, I can see if I can save it.
Here's the link from my temporary Internet files:

I've also sent an email to the reporter, John Donvan, but haven't received a reply.
I knew someone here could help. Freepers rock!
