I did not realize that all your posts to me and all my posts on FreeRepublic could be Googled for display.

Wow International exposure - I shall be sure to use spellcheck.

I didn't - I used someone else's name.

I expect Harriet P. Lombardi at 27 Primrose Lane, Garden Village, ND is gonna be really mad when she finds out.

I get an hourglass for ten seconds, then I get "firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Not sure what that's about. I was real happy with version 1.05.

Go ahead and uninstall again.

After you uninstall, delete the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox directory

***warning this next step could cause you to lose your bookmarks and other settings if you aren't careful***

Copy C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomfoldername.default\Bookmarks.htm

Paste this file to your desktop to save it, this is your bookmarks.

After saving that file back out of that directory and delete it:(C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\randomfoldername.default\)

Now also delete C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla

Now reinstall firefox and see if it runs. If it does, copy the bookmarks.htm file back into the new equivalent location to get your bookmarks back in place.
