His Constitutents Speak:
Along 125th Street in New York City on Sunday, Rangel's draft plan was met mostly with derision.

"What, he was smoking pot or something?" said 58-year-old James Brown.

"He doesn't represent the people of Harlem if he's for the draft," Neil Davis, 48, said.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Rangel did get the bill passed and all the anti-war lefties would be forced into the military against their will?

Rangel in one fell swoop proves that he and others in the democratic party want to weaken the military by filling it with people that don't want to be there in order to make a political gain for his party. Nice move Charlie. The lefties will love you for it.

BTW - What war was every not started because of a draft?
