Murtha HAS something big, that is the Chairmanship of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. He is in reality the most powerful non-leadership member of the House now, because he controls the biggest part of the discretionary budget. And don't think he isn't going to use it.
This really, really bugs me. We need to find a way to force him to step down from this committee. Its like setting a hawk to guard the chickens.
My son's MOS is combat medic - my best friend's son is a Marine sniper. I don't sleep well thinking that the budget for the military is in Murtha's hands in any form or fashion.
