CNN's Suzanne Malveaux: 'We Hope' Kerry Story 'Is Going To Go Away Tomorrow'
NewsBusters.org ^ | 10/31/2006 | NewsBusters

Posted on 11/01/2006 9:16:55 AM PST by Mike Bates

On "The Situation Room" this evening, CNN White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux spoke to Paula Zahn about the firestorm surrounding John Kerry's comments suggesting Armed Forces personnel are uneducated:

"And, of course, Paula, what is really telling here is that Kerry, for most of the day, was alone in his explanations, and trying to figure all of this out -- Democrats quietly saying that they really wish Kerry had kept quiet on this one.

"But, late in the day, Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer released a statement, criticizing President Bush's criticism of Kerry. And, then, Paula, late in the day as well, we got yet another press release from Kerry, criticizing, reacting to Bush's criticism of him earlier in the day, calling it smear.

"So, we hope and we think that all of this is going to go away tomorrow. But we will just have to wait and see."

CNN hopes and thinks that "all of this is going to go away tomorrow?" Presumably so the cable news network can get back to the really important stories, ones like how badly the GOP will do in next week's elections. Or how terribly things are going in Iraq. Or how unpopular President Bush is.

Yes, by all means, let's hope and think the Kerry fuss is going to go away tomorrow so CNN can provide the news it wants us to hear. They know what's best.

Coupled with CNN's Jack Cafferty: 'One Can Only Hope' Kerry Story Fades it's pretty obvious what CNN was looking for. And, darn it all, they ain't getting it.

Quite telling that the dems are openly saying they wished he kept quiet, not saying that they thought he was wrong.

The most biased comment from a Drive-by Media democrat party operative (disguised as a reporter) I have heard in ages. Disgusting.

Hey, I know. CNN should go back to their tried and true stories during the days when of when they had the largest market share and were "the most trusted name in news." They could go back to complaining about "the worst economy in 50 years" or just dig up some old footage of Dan Quayle misspelling "potato." I know that I, for one, NEVER got tired of hearing about that.

The media's handleing of this shocking show of disrespect by Senator John Kerry of our men and women fighting a war on foreign soil exposes the media's bias. A bias that is very dangerous to those very men and women.

The bias in the media can not be hidden!!!!!!

The media and the Democrats are aiding and abetting the terrorists.

Which reminded me of Bing Crosby's "Just a Gigolo."

Was in a Paris cafe that first I found him
He was a Frenchman, a hero of the war
But war was over
And here's how peace had crowned him
A few cheap medals to wear and nothing more
Now every night in the same cafe he shows up
And as he strolls by ladies hear him say
If you admire me, hire me
A gigolo who knew a better day

A better day indeed.

In spite of the MSM's efforts to let this issue die,,,

it won't as long as Kerry and the democrats keep on SPEWING THEIR HATE, ANGER AND VENOM.

I see where Hillary has decided that sKerry's remarks were "inappropriate." She and Billy have to be chuckling about it, over the phone, 500 miles apart from one another.

If YOU were married to THIS, would 500 miles be sufficient?

An excellent example is when the New York Times published diagrams highlighting weaknesses in soldiers' protective armor. They had arrows pointing to areas near the groin and armpits.

It was, simply, treason.
