Better, yet, when a Black person finally ran for and won a statewide office in Dean's Vermont... it was a Republican !

I joined our local republican women's club last night and there were seven black women there also joining. Two sat at the table I was at and they were absolutely wonderful. We laughed and talked and put down Dims. One (the mother) is a minister and the other was her 20-something daughter. I asked if she got any grief about being a Republican. She said yes, that some of her parishioners could not believe she was an R and when they asked why, she responds "What have the Democrats done for you". I gave her a big ol hug! The daughter told me she was so excited to be there and was a very proud Republican. It felt great to join this group here in the Heart of Dixie and meet these wonderful (and in my opinion brave) women.
