Oh, btw, my remark about "seeing the light" was not (primarily) about teaching the "republicans" a lesson, rather it pertained to teaching liberally-inclined voters the error of their ways.Sadly, there will always be liberally inclined voters who believe that our great nation was conceived in sin and lives in sin, and cannot be redeemed except by the punishment of taxes, environmental laws, terror attacks, etc. For them it is not about the health and well-being of the United States, but about how we atone for our prosperity. These people are not victims of errors in judgement or flaws in execution so much as they are simply filled with self-loathing and want to impose it on as many of us as possible, and it is these people whom I want to deny any chance at power in this country.
I fear their sincerity more than I fear the corruption and error within "the other wing" of the party.
