Been around for a few years now, and I will be darned if on any given day I can find out what is verboten und was ist nicht verboten. I just had the feeling that this would bring out the "slap em down" responses you have been getting.

A couple rules of thumb I have tried to use over the past few years especially.

1. I never post vanities of any type.

2. I never make initial contact with anyone with whom I disagree.

3. When brought into a debate with someone who initiates the contact then and they are using invective and otherwise wild accusations towards me, I extricate myself from further contact with them, quickly without changing the position I earlier took.

Seems to work for me and keeps the blood pressure down.

By the way, on your point about Rush, I can understand why you have it, I just don't agree. But I sure don't mind your expressing your opinion.
