Apparently there are at least three GOP Housemembers who are calling for an investigation for charges to be filed against Foley. Found out on a post made today.

"Apparently there are at least three GOP Housemembers who are calling for an investigation for charges to be filed against Foley. Found out on a post made today."

We are being told that the parents of the kid didn't want the Congressman prosecuted, but just for the contact to stop (which I understand).

Obviously someone found the evidence and waited until a prime election time (like now) to release it.

Equally obvious is that those who waited until now to release it didn't care about the status of the interns and paiges until the election.

I'd bet the lib-dem trash knew all about it, early-on, c. Their tried-and-true, statist approach, is to *deny* and say *so what?*, which is what they did with Bwarney Fwrank and a few dozen other assorted perverts, including BJ Klintoon.

The GOPer-RINOs just simply resign.

A huge difference that hurts the RNC, but bolsters the DNC.

Foley has to be a complete moron. And bigger morons are the Republicans who knew about this last year and did absolutely nothing about it.

It is a disgrace that this man headed a committee to protect exploited children.

To call Foley stupid is an insult to stupid people everywhere.

I think the possibility that the democrats knew is something that should be looked into. The public deserves to know if they care about kids or do they care about playing political games. The GOP made a mess here no doubt but the democrats shouldn't get a freebie if they knew.

Stupid is not a word I used to describe this creep. And, I agree that those who sat on this were even bigger morons as now the demoncRats have yet another thing to hammer Republicans with in this election year. We've got to get more intelligent people in the Republican party.

"The GOP made a mess here no doubt but the democrats shouldn't get a freebie if they knew."

I'd say that if the demoncRats knew about this before hand, they should held just as accountable for this as any Republican who also knew. These people have no shame when they don't deal with this up front, and save it for a political purpose.

Count on this much: the dems will overplay their hand on this one; they always do. Hastert and Boehner have called for a criminal investigation apparently. This should at least lead to how the IMs were captured and who released them. I hate to go political on this topic, but that is what the dems are doing. They want the seat and they could care less about Foley or the kid(s) involved in this exchange of messages. The parents want nothing to do with a criminal investigation, they want to protect their son's identity. Wonder what Barney thinks of all of this, and when will that Man/Boy Love Association (or whatever they are called) tell the dems to back off or they will no longer support their campaigns! Its a sick story all around...from the indescrition to the politicizing of it.

We've got to get more intelligent people in the Republican party.

When somebody has this type of sexual proclivity or a penchant for homosexuality, it didn't suddenly manifest itself when he became a freaking congressman.

How in the hell did this not come to light prior? Where the hell is the vetting process here?

Only those down in that district might be able to answer that question. We've got to stop accepting this as normal behavior.

I guess he felt that his lust was NORMAL? And e-mails were. . .SAFE((?); and that he was just a harmless Congressman(?). . .Who would know? Who could be hurt? Why not? Who . . .me worry?

IT is mind-boggling. . .

SICK for sure. . .but endlessly selfish and utterly S T U P I D.

If stupidity is a disqualification for public service there will be no Democrats in office.

The GOPers who 'sat on this fact', will exact a heavy price with the US Voters, come Nov 7th, if the liberal-demokkkRATs run with it. Which I'm pretty sure they will, l. A damned sad factoid, BTW.

You are right. I was watching CNN late this night while cutting slices in my flesh (kidding) ....... and CNN was playing up the Republican Party Cover up Angle for a great deal of the news segment. They not only are going to concentrate on that angle for weeks ahead, they started a POLL on the question of this Republican Perversion Cover up. This may just be pretty bad.

****

The socialist/marxist/liberal media is the most destructive, relentless, and ruthless enemy of this Republic.

Not stupid, evil.

Here's hoping that Congressman Foley is in somebody's crosshairs, somewhere...

. . .well the 'stupd' here was in imagining he would not be caught; actually he already had been and apparently continued. Which goes to the sickness. . .

It is fortunate, this did not go further. (Allowing they do not start coming out of the woodwork; so so spek. ..)

Comment 2 removed was pretty much right on. it is sickening that a mam holds forth as a bastion of morality when he is doing his deeds in the dark

All we know for certain is that he did 'e-mails'. . .bad enough, for sure. . .but not the deed in itself.

. . .the 'holding forth' of course, hits the 'doth protest too much' button. . .or; 'teaching best. . .what one needs to learn'. . .

Just wish there could have been a more successful and earlier, intervention.

From what I understand, a writer for The Advocate had identified Foley and John Kyl as gay, a few years back. He goes on to say that Kyl came out, and will retire, with respect, at the end of this term. (I may have seen this item on FR, but I can't remember where).

So it's obvious someone knew about this guy's proclivities.

That having been said, however, it should be pointed out that if Foley were a democrat, and the kid were less than two years older, Foley would have been on Oprah, laughing and scratching and warmed by a standing O.
