I only got as far as Introduction to Philosophy 101 so I may have Chirac wrong here.

Islam is a violent religion.

Christianity is a religion

ergo

Christianity is violent.

Thesis: Islam is a religion easily provoked to violence.

Antithesis: Christianity is a religion that provokes Islam to violence.

Synthesis: No Christianity = No Islamic Violence
