well my goodness, of course you are entitled to your opinion. But there has been ample evidence presented on this thread to indicate that the Pope in no way negated even a single word that he originally uttered. his original statement stands without amendment. you were merely being asked to support your contention as to backpedaling by pointing out WHAT constitutes the backpedal, given that nothing he said has been in any way changed.
Here is something from another thread: "We want a personal apology (from the Pope). We feel that he has committed a grave error against us and that this mistake will only be removed through a personal apology," Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Leader Mohammed Habib told Reuters. "Has he presented a personal apology for statements by which he clearly is convinced? No," he said.
Ignoring reality is not a good thing.

There's a saying that "reality takes its revenge on those who deny it".
The reality is that the Pope said what he wanted to say, that he has not retracted it because there is no reason to do so, and that he actually is a very courageous man.
