Certainly, I can imagine leaving the Republican Party. It's far from perfect.

However, in their current configuration, I simply cannot conceive of myself turning to the Democrats.

Leaving the party is irrelevant these days. Your just as likely to be a Democrat as you are to be a Republican.

Question is; Are you a Conservative or are you a Marxist? Everyone in between is a Liberal and party doesn't mean squat.

I think that's where most people with any facility for logical thought are located today.

The R's campaign like conservatives, then rule like libs, then on election day they say, "Surely you won't vote against us and put your very life in danger?"

The problem is that they are correct. The left is no longer the loyal opposition anymore. They are simply seditious.

If they R's had a mind to extend their hegemony, they'd start ruling like the majority party and dismantling the old liberal machine. No guts.
