This guy forecasted the New Orleans hit by Katrina a week ahead of time, and is predicting the same for NYC.

So Eastern Penna's going to become oceanfront property, after NYC and Joisey ('what exit?') are washed away? Oy!
To: butternut_squash_bisque
Unfortunately for him, there are no named storms with in a week of the U.S. mainland.

(Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM the spelling police)
To: Doohickey
that's the point. Katrina hadn't been named when he made that forecast.

Take your world for it; haven't checked NOAA lately...

You could always stack those waterlogged, unused yellow schoolbusses and make a real quick, cheap pier. Just Crazy Glue® them together, and the pier's visible from space...
To: butternut_squash_bisque
I was thinking the water logged bus barns would provide materials, also gathering all the old junk vehicles I can and parking in lowest areas around, FEMA pays good for family cars

Or re-paint them white, turn them into mobile family trailers at $50k each. FEMA'd junp on that, in a heartbeat, IIRC.

Unfortunately for him, there are no named storms with in a week of the U.S. mainland. He's likely a crackpot, but about ten days out...

Okay, let me rephrase that. TD #6 isn't within a week of the U.S. mainland either.

"I think this is the one, a repeat of the 1938 New York Cat 3, but at more than a week away, cant quite be 100% certain yet."
I don't read that to indicate it is a week away. I read it to that it is not less than one week away. But more than one week.

An important distinction: someone says this guy forecast what became Katrina and the damage it did to New Orleans. Hindsight is perfect, and retroactively forged "predictions" are remarkably accurate. Show me some proof.
