Hey! What happened? I went to check the hits to the DUmmie FUnnies and precisely at 5 P.M. today the hits suddenly stopped. Since I had a regular flow of hits before that it has to be something up with Site Meter. However, I checked another BlogSpot blog that has Site Meter and their hits didn't stop at all today.
So what's up? I'm concerned. I monitor those hits (plus referring sites) very closely.

My guess is that it's related to yesterday's problems and just figure that it'll update in a few more hours.
WHEW! Thanx for that update. I was worried. To say I am OBSESSED by those stats is an understatement. I find them very useful. BTW, my daily hits have grown about three-fold in the last 5 months. I want to to grow about an equal multiple by the beginning of next year.
I've found that sometimes SiteMeter has technical problems, and hits aren't counted, but this is rare. If you're using their free service, you get what you pay for. Couple of things to check:
1) Make sure you've properly placed SiteMeter's code on your pages: http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=manager&area=htmlcode
2) Read the FAQ. There's some good info on trouble-shooting: http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=help
3) If all else fails, try contacting the administrators: http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=contact
If you're looking for hits I guess I'll have to read the FUnnies over there from now on.
I might go with their paid service in a few months. I am so OBSESSED by those stats that it is something extra I would need. BTW, just what extras do I get if I pay?
There ARE things on the Blog that aren't here. And there will be MORE such things in the near future. 'Nuff said.
BTW, I would like to find out why the DUmmie FUnnies isn't listed on the ecosystem of the TruthLaidBare website. The DUmmie FUnnies is getting more hits that a lot of the blogs listed there but it doesn't register there for some reason. Would like to know.
Here's a summary of their paid service features: http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=upgradefaq
Note: Your ISP probably has a page-tracking feature in your site control panel (e.g., CPanel). These type of trackers give you more info than you probably want (e.g., hits from bots and crawlers), but its a good fall-back -- if you're that obsessed.
