A Civil Union of Fascist

The Odd Couple An odd couple

Fascism presents itself in various forms and today two predominant forms of fascism can be found working within Islam and modern liberalism. It seems strange that although they are diametrically opposed to each other, and in heart hate each other, they are often found fighting on the same side of a cause or an issue.

When comparing the ideologies of Islamic fascists vis-à-vis to western ideofascists of leftist persuasion, it is amazing how similar some of their rhetoric is as well as their list of enemies. It should also be noted that even though their cultures and concepts of morality are polls apart, thus obscuring similarities; when carefully analyzed it is obvious that both seek to form a collective body under authoritarian rule at the international level. It therefore should not seem strange that they relate on some levels seeing they struggle against some of the same opponents and obstacles, for although they are opposites they are still merely competing forms of fascism.

Islamic "morality", though far from that of Evangelical Christianity and conservatism, is still even much further from that of the amoral liberal agenda; nevertheless, Islamic and liberal radicals furiously attack those who fall somewhere between them. One reason for this engagement between radical Islam and modern liberalism on geopolitical and some civil rights issues is that even though they do not have the same God, they do share common “devils“ (e.g. USA, Israel).

While the Islamic fascist imagines to resurrect the past, the radical leftist envisions a new future, so it is interesting that what keeps them from colliding head on is the present. At present the ire of both is focused on the existing establishments, for it is necessary that the present establishments be removed in order to expand and build their empires. There is a great irony in this for liberalism, for though liberals envision themselves as revolutionaries, in all actuality they have become a major component in the make up of the establishment.

If reason were to fail and liberals should gain power, the focus of Islam and of the liberal leadership will shift upon each other. They must however, both already realize this, but each is confident in the outcome of that confrontation and therefore sees the other as a lesser foe than their present common enemies. It is very likely that under such circumstances the left would seek a futile policy of appeasement which would inevitably fail.

Some people do not agree with relating radical liberalism to fascism. Those who feel that way should rethink their view after the latest event in which a film depicts a Bush assassination.

This film is not an isolated case but a through search will reveal many such incidents and a number of actual acts of violence against opponents of liberalism.

This is fascism. It may be soft fascism but none the less it is what it is.

Be careful. 'Sprinkle' is a common theatrical pseudonym. He might be Annie's bro.
