LIBERALS CONTINUE TO BLAME WHILE IGNORING THEIR OWN. Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post wrote an eloquent article today on the reasons why New Orleans must be rebuilt and protected from future storms. In his post Mr. Robinson once again laid blame for all things bad on the federal government. Now Im no great fan of the bloated bureaucracies that make up our federal government, it bothers me greatly when the libs ignore the true reasons behind the failures in New Orleans...both before and after Katrina. The city of New Orleans...long under the rule of the Democrats...have squandered countless billions of dollars in federal aid over the past quarter century earmarked for repairing and modernizing the levees. Its fairly common knowledge that a great deal of that money over the years was embezzled and misspent by the city. Bush has been blamed for everything bad in New Orleans since Katrina, but what the libs want you to ignore are two major facts. First, Democrat Governor Kathleen Blanco refused to allow federal troops into her state immediately after Katrina hit. Second, Democrat Mayor Ray Nagin left hundreds of school buses sit idle while the poorest and neediest of his citizens sat stranded. I saw Republican Governor Haley Barbour in an interview the other night in preparation for the first anniversary of Katrina and he made a very salient point. Mississippi, his state, Florida and Alabama (The three other hardest hit states) have all made amazing recoveries since Katrina and they all had to deal with the same federal government as did Louisiana. Now a liberal cynic could say that they were all given preferential treatment because they have Republican governors, but it seems more likely they all made these recoveries because they put recovery plans in place and executed them...rather than sitting around blaming everyone else for their plight. Add to that the fact that since Katrina the city of New Orleans has not come up with a master plan to rebuild the city and you can start to see why New Orleans still sits as a demolished city. Until, and unless the liberals begin to hold accountable the despicably poor governments of Nagin and Blanco, New Orleans will continue to be a shining example of liberal mismanagement.

The Democratic Party of today is no long the Democratic Party we knew some 10 years ago. President John F. Kennedy would be a Republican today, if he were still alive.
The Democratic Party of today is filled with hated and evil. They hate the Military, they hate America, they hate President Bush and anyone who serves with him.
Their hatred has caused lies, misunderstandings, new media phonies, corruption, and guess where it all started.
With the age of the Clintons. Before that, when JFK was President, we didn't have this hated, we didn't have the media making things up, and anything they could do to ruin people, like they tried to do with President Bush and his National Guard Records. We didn't have new anchors spouting that they 'loved' certain people, they reported the news and left their opinions where they should be, to themselves.
But then came the age of Clintons:
Friday, Jan. 6, 2006 11:10 a.m. EST Clinton NSA Wiretapped Top Republican
During the 1990's under President Bill Clinton, the National Security Agency conducted random telecommunications surveillance of millions of phone calls daily under a top secret program known as Echelon.
But according to at least two people familiar with the spy operation at the time, some of the surveillance was far from indiscriminate.
In a February 2000 interview with CBS's "60 Minutes," NSA operator Margaret Newsham revealed that the agency's listening post in Great Britain was involved in monitoring the phone calls of at least one top Republican on Capitol Hill.
Questioned by "60 Minutes" interviewer Steve Kroft, Newsham recalled how she learned of the illegal surveillance:
"I walked into the office building and a friend said, 'Come over here and listen to--to this thing.' And he had headphones on, so I took the headphones and I listened to it, and I looked at him and said, 'That's an American.' . . .
Ms. Newsham remembered, "It was definitely an American voice, and it was a voice that was distinct. And I said, 'Well, who is that?'
"And he said it was Senator Strom Thurmond."
Until his retirement from the Senate in 2002, Thurmond was a frequent critic of the Clinton administration, who played a leading role in the 1998 impeachment drama - though there's no known connection to the decision to wiretap the South Carolina conservative.
During the same program, however, Kroft consulted with Mike Frost, who worked for Canada's version of the NSA for 20-years.
Asked if it was commonplace for the NSA to monitor the phone calls of top U.S. politicians, Frost told CBS: "Of course it goes on. Been going on for years. Of course it goes on. That's the way it works." (newsmax.com)
And it doesn't quit with just William Jefferson Clinton, it goes to his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton:
Unlike many in her party, 2008 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has been silent about the influence peddling scandal erupting around lobbyist Jack Abramoff, whose plea bargain with the Justice Department is said to have more than a few on Capitol Hill quaking in their boots.
Now we know why.
Turns out, Mrs. Clinton is among the dozens of Democrats who accepted Mr. Abramoff's tainted contributions.
Clinton spokeswoman Ann Lewis told The Buffalo News on Thursday that "after examining our records we found two contributions for $1,000 from tribes which have been clients of Jack Abramoff in the past."
"To ensure that there is no question of any connection with Mr. Abramoff, Friends of Hillary will contribute the total of $2,000 to a New York charity," Lewis said.
News of Mrs. Clinton's Abramoff connection comes the same day that her 2000 Senate campaign acknowledged it violated Federal Election Commission regulations by hiding hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign cash given by Hollywood mogul Peter Paul.
All this transpires against the backdrop of the Clinton campaign finance scandal of the late 1990s, where millions of dollars of illegal Chinese campaign cash found its way into Democratic Party and Clinton legal defense fund coffers.
The consequences of those transactions dwarf anything expected to emerge from the Abramoff imbroglio.
After Chinese intelligence and U.S. aerospace mogul Bernie Schwartz plied the DNC with donations, the Clinton Commerce Department permitted Schwartz's company, Loral, to share missile guidance technology with Beijing.
The result? By the end of the Clinton administration, China's nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missile fleet was able to reach every city in the U.S. (newsmax.com)
from the Washington Weekly, 1998-May-14, Citizens for Better Government edit of May 5, 1998:
THE MOB PRESIDENT
The Mob Helped Clinton get Started In Politics.
It is Now Helping Him Escape the Law
When young Bill Clinton in 1974 made his first run for political office, a crucial $10,000 loan was arranged for him by his uncle, Raymond Clinton. Uncle Raymond has been tied by Clinton biographer Roger Morris to the Hot Springs Mafia.
But it was not until 1984, when Clinton was elected for a second term as Governor of Arkansas, that Mob money really started pouring in. "That was the election when the Mob really came into Arkansas politics, the dog-track and racetrack boys, the payoff people who saw a good thing," a former U.S. Attorney told Roger Morris. "It wasn't just Bill Clinton and it went beyond our old Dixie Mafia, which was penny-ante by comparison. This was eastern and and West Coast crime money that noticed the possibilities just like the legitimate corporations did."
I have not even scratched the surface of what monsters these two are, and there are people who think they walk on water.
If you ever wonder what has happened to the Democratic Party, just look at William Jefferson and Hillary Rodham Clinton and you will find the answer. And there are some people like FNC President Rupert Murdoch that wants this woman to run as POTUS....

Just the other day I sat and listened to a liberal whine about republicans not doing enough to stop illegal immigration. Much to her amazement I agreed with her....then I slapped her with reality.
I asked the rhetorical "What are democrats doing on immigration?" She didn't know so I told her "They're screaming racism every time the issue comes up". I also pointed out that the immigration reform caucus contains nearly 70 members but only 2 or 3 are democrats. I then pointed out the strange silence on the port of long beach deal under Clinton as opposed to the screaming over the Dubai ports deal under Bush.
Simply stated I told the liberal that my ideals don't change according to who holds office at a given time. I also explained that liberals should stop trying to change the GOP because that change should come from GOP voters.
