Thanks for that lowdown on the Taj Mahal.

Recently I saw some news headline about Muslims wanting to blow it up.
My reaction was "WTF?!...That's a Muslim building! And there aren't any
Buddhist statues in it!"

The islamofascists obviously know their own history better than we do. Islam is parasitic. I recall a documentary in which a Sikh said 'they have taken more than three thousand temples from us - if they do not allow us to take them back, we will tear them down brick by brick' ...

And with that statement as the cue, an entire village of people, with picks and shovels, some with sticks or bare hands, began to demolish a 'mosque' - pity I cannot recall the name of the town this took place in. Must do some research...

St Catherine's Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai also has within it's precincts a mosque - I have heard the monastery referred to as 'holy to islam' - there exists a document apparently, an agreement written by mohammad himself, allowing the monastery to exist in 'peace' as long as St Catherine's accepted islam as one of the 'great religions' ... in other words, the monastery accepted dhimmitude. More research!

As nothing would surprise me coming from islam, a malignancy greater than any disease, equaled only by the finality of death itself...I can imagine one day, knowing the obscenity constructed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem might ultimately also come under attack. Hezb'allah for example, would be more than capable of its destruction - to blame on Israel!

the Al Aksa mosque was built on the Temple Mount 621 years after Mohammed's death.

The Fatimid Mosque, which lies within the walls of St. Catherine's Monastery

St. Catherine's Monastery

Located at the foot of Mount Moses, St. Catherine's Monastery, was constructed by order of the Emperor Justinian between 527 and 565. Is built around what is thought to be Moses' Burning Bush, which has a chapel built atop it. It is a spectacular natural setting for priceless works of art, including Arab mosaics, Greek and Russian icons, Western oil paintings, paintings on wax, fine sacerdotal ornaments, marbles, enamels, chalices, reliquaries, including one donated by Czar Alexander II in the 19th century, and another by Empress Catherine of Russia in the 17th century. But of perhaps even greater significance is that it is the second largest collection of illuminated manuscripts (The Vatican has the largest). The collection consists of some 3,500 volumes in Greek, Coptic, Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, Slavic, Syriac, Georgian and other languages. Around the year 1850, the fourth century Codex Sinaiticus, which is now in the British Museum in London, was discovered here. The Monastery even has a small 10th or 11th century mosque which was probably built to appease the Islamic authorities of the time. There is also a small chapel (the Chapel of St. Triphone, also known as the Skull House) which houses the skulls of deceased monks.

There's no doubt about it, islam lies about everything. The doco I saw on the above, only last night, showed a document supposedly written by mohammed...but the mosque wasn't erected until several hundred years after his death.

It's the same story all over again. If a muslim tells you it's raining, he's probably peeing on your leg. (That's an aussie saying. It fits well!)
