Flight 93 Memorial Wallpapers & Screen Saver
In honor of the fifth anniversary.
Two weeks from today [Mon. Aug. 28] will mark five years since 9/11. I was at the first-anniversary memorial for Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA, Wednesday, September 11, 2002. I have made desktop wallpapers out of 20 or so of the photos I took there, and a screen saver out of the wallpapers. The forty wallpapers are on flickr.com; the screen saver, on rapidshare.de.
Wallpapers
The first 15 are "straight" photos; the remaining 25 are "artistic" renderings.... To download any of them to your computer, click on the image to go to its page at flickr.com; then, click on "All Sizes" and then click on "Download the Large size" (1024 x 768).

Screen Saver
To download the screen-saver installation routine, click on the link below to go to rapidshare (it will open in a new window or tab), then click on the "Free" button at the bottom right, then wait for the "Download-ticket reserved" countdown to get to zero. When it has done so, enter the 3-character code and click the "Download from ..." button. You can download the EXE file; if you don't want to do that, you can download the RAR or the ZIP, if you know what to do with either.

Nice job. On Sunday, I saw the Nat'l Geographic special on 9/11. It reaffirmed that the passengers on Flight 93 were true heroes who were not going to go down without a fight. May they Rest In Peace. Even if you buy the "shot down" theories, that does not diminish their bravery and true American spirit. And their lesson has been learned well by the flying public. Never again will hijackers feel safe.
