Code Pink Organizes Seditious "Occupation" of Capitol

Code Pink and Cindy Sheehag are planning to "occupy" Washington, D.C. on Sep 5th.

As the organizers put it,

""Camp Democracy will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., from September 5 to 21. This will be a camp for peace, democracy, and the restoration of the rule of law....Camp Democracy is a grassroots effort and will only succeed with the help of many, many people contributing the small amounts (of time and money) they can afford. This is our opportunity to do what the citizens of the Ukraine, of Mexico, and of other countries do when their democracies are taken from them. This is our chance to say, "Enough is enough!"

Wouldn't it be great if we could get 10 or 12 big church choirs, say 120 voices each to camp out there also. Maybe get them in robes singing hymns and drown them out.

Reminds me of the Poor People's March in 1969, when poor blacks came and camped on the mall. It rained and rained and turned it into a big muddy mess. One night my husband wanted to go help. We took a carload of men to the bus station.

I was in the backseat and one of our passengers was running his hand up the inside of my leg, when I heard myu generous husband say they could stay with us. The next day the same dude was on the front page of the paper. He had shot up a White Castle restaurant instead of getting on the bus and going home.

So, I'll pass.
