At this very early point, George Allen is my first choice for President. Like what I have seen thus far.

I just can't square Webb's responses above with the themes of his novels. Can it be the same guy? All this time I thought he was Fogarty and it turns out he was really Dean. I guess the stories really were fiction in every sense of the word.

Stick a fork in Webb, he's done. Same old "Bush is evil" tactics that's only preaching to the moonbat crowd. Same old Democrat nonsense, everyone is in soup lines w/o healthcare, quagmire in Iraq, "the rich" keeps on making money. Allen will win decisively and will easily have the inside track in the race for POTUS.

Earlier tonight, I went to a private event in which Senator and Mrs. Allen were the guests of honor.

The Senator mentioned how much he enjoyed the debate last weekend, but I had not heard of the debate previously. Guess that I hadn't been paying attention.

Liked your comments on the Webb statement about Reagan. Was it on TV or at least video taped?

If so, I would hope that the Allen campaign can publicize the Webb statement that Ronald Reagan is a model to him, contrast Webb's recent statements with Reagan's world views, and then say something like, "he's no Ronald Reagan and, if he really aspired to be like Reagan, he would have run in the Republican primary."

The more liberal Dems still hate Reagan almost as much as they hate Bush. The Reagan statement of Webb will tend to cause liberal Dems to stay home or vote for a third party candidate. The libs already doubt that Webb is a bona fide Democrat.
