I knew I would have to earn a living some day, so I taught myself electronics after earning a BA in theology and got a job servicing two-way radio. After thirty years, I am in computers, networking, and SQL database management. I was never angry about my "giftedness" and only wished I had been wacked with the math gift wand rather than the words wand. What does it matter? I earn a very comfortable living and have many thoughtful, intelligent, sensible and rational friends, and an intelligent, lovely wife who disagrees with me adamantly about dangling prepositions, something up with which I will not put.
Reading these DU denizens was astonishing. Liberal snobs all, too complex to be happy, looking down on everyone else.
I wonder if any of them is useful and productive today, or are they on the disability dole?
LOL!! That's Churchill, isn't it?? I love that one!
I love that!
