In many locations a fanny pack screams CCW holder packing a Glock. Even if that were not the case, I would never wear one. I have pockets and holsters for what I need to carry.

I was checking out of a hotel one morning as a morbidly obese male appeared in the dining area across from the front desk. He was wearing a prissy looking dress in cornflower blue. A little boy asked him why he was wearing a dress. He claimed it wasn't a dress. It was some kind of Scottish outfit. Sure. A bearded fat man in drag. A real Scot would have been stuffing a caber where the sun don't shine.

I guess you could try to pass it off as a "possibles bag", nobody ever called Davy Crockett gay. ( good luck with that)
I wear a possibles bag when I'm muzzle loader hunting and they are very convenient, but at any other time it would be a purse.
Either get a 50 cal Hawkins to carry with it, or, dump the fag-bag...lol

I myself, won't even wear shorts. My uniform consists of shorts, T-Shirt, sneakers, oh, and a Handy Pack. Rarely wear anything else.
