(The Palestinian terrorist regime is the crisis and Israel's fist is the answer.)
Fuel taxes in general are impratical for North America, because areas are spread out and it takes some people 50 miles or 80 km to get to the fuel station. California really needs to cut spending to reduce bugdet shortfalls, and it wants energy independance give tax incentives for alternative sources of energy and people will come up with them. Higher fuel taxes over time reduce driving and then reduce gas taxes collected. Therefore, for California truckers, and delivery people higher fuel tax gonna put companies out of business, and those shops and companies will have to lay people off as a result. The voters wanting fuel higher taxes conquenses mean higher prices for goods at the supermarket, fuel stations, and pizza joints, and small delivery companies go out of business with higher fuel taxes. Taxation is fine, but if used in blunt and igorant way it hurts commerce and then the comsumers.
