It is amazing to see these people actually critiquing and holding accountable a liberal for his lies.
How do they see the truth behind this when so many other times they can't see a thing?
I think it has a lot to do with the way this has played out. At first, DUmmieland was mostly on board. However the story was too specific; Rove was given 24 hours to get his affairs in order, a 15 hour meeting in Rove's attorney's office, that kind of thing.
When the events promised didn't pan out, then TO began changing the story. The 24 hours became 24 'business' hours. DUmmies started getting anxious. When the Fitzgerald announcement came out that pretty well blew the lid off the story, but being worded as it was it left a little wriggle room for the most diehard DUmmies. However, by that time many had jumped ship. The WaPo story from this weekend was just another nail in the coffin. Now, it's much easier to find fault.
All this, coupled with Will Pitt's initial rants against Skinner and the non-believers, along with his absence from the discussion thereafter (for the most part) has allowed an amount of dissension not usually seen in DUmmieland. For that, Skinner is to blame as much as anyone. Just my HO, of course.
