I agree with everything you said. As for the gay thing, I can be persuaded by both sides, I also believe it is a sin, and I will never condone someone calling me a bigot for thinking that, or teaching my son that. I just kind of find it a sin between God and the person (does that make sense?) I truly put it up there with adultery, and other adult sinful behavior that doesn't necessarily hurt anyone but them. If it includes children in any way, I will be the first screaming. I HATE the "gay agenda" being pushed in school, etc. So I am just somewhat more moderate than some other Freepers. I just used it as an example of the divergence of opinion that can be found here, that would never be found in DUmmieland.

"I also believe it is a sin, and I will never condone someone calling me a bigot for thinking that, or teaching my son that. However, we're all God's children and should the homosexual seek forgiveness and try to live his/her life as a good Christian then how can I stand in their way? Those that choose their own path will answer for that when the time comes.
My wife and I left the church we belonged to over this issue and now belong to a more traditional church. But, that was because we saw the church we were in deviating from God's word as given in the Bible. Not because of our intolerance. Others may not see it that way, but that's their problem.
