"Is the world better off without Saddam or not?"

to which you answer, "It's not a matter of..."

at which White Hood Hannity steps on you and says, "answer the question...is the world better off without Saddam? Why can't you just answer the question?!"

I'll tell you why, Hoodboy. Because you won't shut the fuck up long enough for people to hear the answer. It's not you who needs to hear it. I frankly don't care whether you get it, or sit in the tub and open a major artery. I really don't.

Oh, yes. That's a compelling way of getting a point across. Please keep that frame of mind and you'll win many hearts and minds. NOT!

I think the key factor that Rove will never be able to utilize is the completely open forum that the liberal sites offer which at the end of the day moderates the flow of ideas.

Here are a few key things to consider about the efffects of our open forum:

1. Oddly, we are really pretty moderate here on dKos all things considered.

2. Our debates usually bring us to relatively level headed, practical and fact-based conclusions.

3. The GOP of the Early 21st Century (as I like to call them) is agressively radical in their ideas and an open forum will not allow for their kind of radicalism.

4. If Rove wants to utilize the internet with any credibility, he will have to create an open forum, but an open forum will put their radicalism to the test.

5. Rove can take "option b" and pretend to make the forum "open", but he will be found out.

6. This Radical iteration of the GOP cannot survive the weight of scrutiny that our ideas and ideals can and have.

With the way sites like Red State ban participants for the smallest infraction, I think that the reality is that the internet will turn their followers off.

Our tolerance for competing ideas will in the end make us far stronger in open media - which is why I think we are all here - we know that we can discuss issues, ideas and ideals with some freedom and that our discussions - even with the political press release types - are advancing the debate. That is something that a propaganda machine no matter how artfully crafted will never be able to synthesize or control.

In short - we will eat Rove and the GOP alive in the medium. Yum yum. Big Dinner!

Well, just as long as someone doesn't try to disagree.
