I was pretty shocked when I read this. I was catching up on my blog reading when I came across it. Father Todd was one the few Priest bloggers out there. I am sure many here had the "Son becomes a Father blog" bookmarked. Father Todd was around my age and just starting off really his life in the Ministry. He was a man dedicated to his Church and had a love for his fellow man that was quite something. At least he got to be sent home doing what he loved to do in home state of Texas while on vacation with family and friends.
Its quite jarring to be reading a blog for a long period of time and watching them chronicle their everyday life events and then hearing they are dead. I have had only one previous experience with it before. Take some time to read the events of his life that last week. In the January post I believe in fact he talking baout the importance of planning for ones death. He talked about preparing for his own. My Prayers fo the Soul of Father Todd, the people in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, and his family and Friends in Texas and his fellow Aggies who are grieving from Texas A&M.
Amy Welborn has some links the last few days of other bloggers that have offered tributes to him that knew him.
Further arangements of the Burial of Father Todd in Texas as well as a scholarship fund can be found at the update of Fathers site
Prayers up for this servant.
